That three day stretch in Austin where nothing went right
Last Tuesday started with my car battery dying in the H-E-B parking lot at 8am, then I spilled coffee all over my work laptop an hour later. Wednesday my boss called me into a meeting and told me my project budget got cut by $4,000 right when I needed new materials. By Thursday I locked my keys in the trunk outside my apartment and had to wait 45 minutes for AAA. Has anyone else had a week where it felt like the universe was just messing with you?

My buddy Mark had a week like that last fall. His dog got sprayed by a skunk at 6am Monday, then he accidentally threw his phone in the trash with the rest of the takeout containers. Tuesday his tire blew out on the highway and he had to change it in the rain with no jacket. By Wednesday his girlfriend's car broke down outside his place, then she blamed him for it somehow. He swears the universe sends these weeks out like some kind of cosmic punishment package deal.

Oh man, that is painfully relatable. My own personal nightmare week started when I backed into my neighbor's mailbox and then locked my keys in the car while it was still running. By Thursday I just sat on the couch eating cold pizza from the night before because I was too scared to touch anything else.
