Lost 3 nights of shooting because my mount's power cable wiggled loose in the dark
Went out to the backyard in Tucson last Thursday to grab M42 before it got too low, and my tracking was garbage all night. Turned out the 12V plug into the mount had worked itself loose, so the drive kept stalling and I got star trails on 40 minutes of subs. I only caught it when I bumped the cable while checking the hand controller and the motor chirped back to life. Now I tape the plug down and wrap a velcro strap around the tripod leg. What do you all use to keep cables from wiggling on cold nights?
