Rant: shot 8 months of astro pics before realizing I was fighting my own mount
Spent 3 hours fighting star trails on M42 from my backyard in Boise last Tuesday and finally figured out my tripod was sitting on a slightly loose paver, so every shot had a slow drift I blamed on my polar alignment. Has anyone else chased a guiding problem that turned out to be the ground under them?
