Customer said my quote was high, so I broke down the real costs for once
A guy in Decatur told me my $850 tree removal bid was too steep, so I showed him the disposal fee, the insurance, and the 2 hours on the ropes, and he ended up apologizing and booking it, has anyone else tried being fully transparent on price and had it backfire or work?
What made you decide to lay it all out for him instead of just walking away from the job? Most guys would've either dropped the price or moved on to the next call, so I'm curious what tipped you toward the full breakdown. Did he ask for the details or did you just offer them up when he pushed back?
