The flower shop scene is a good call, but what gets me is the rooftop scene with Johnny and Mark. When you have subs on, you catch Johnny saying "I did not hit her, I did not" right before the "oh hi Mark" part, and the timing of it reads totally different than when you just hear the mumble. Did you notice the same thing, or was the flower shop the one that jumped out most for you? Also wondering if you watched with the subs that include sound effects like [door closes] or just the plain dialogue ones.

How much did the seams overlap on the fancy stuff compared to your dad's foot overlap? Seems like that overlap gap might be the whole ballgame. Curious if the crew even bothered weighing it down before taping or if they just slapped it up and left.

Man, this is the same thing as checking your bit depth on a drill before you punch through a cabinet, right? Five seconds of setup on scrap saves you from wrecking the real thing, and people still skip it because it feels like wasted time. I see it at the gym too (guys load the bar up before checking their form on an empty one) and in the kitchen (nobody tests the heat of the pan before dumping in the eggs). There is something about doing a quick dry run that our brains just refuse to count as real work. Your braid check is that dry run. Folding braid usually means the blade is dull or the depth is off a hair, so the scrap test catches it before the fitting eats the mistake.
