DAE remember when the Varsity was still cash only and it taught me I was bad at lines?
I used to get annoyed at the crowd at the Varsity on game days until a guy in an apron behind the counter pointed out that I was standing in the wrong part of the room the whole time. I would grab a spot in the middle and just wait, but the regulars all slide to the far end where the line actually starts. He waved me over and had my chili dogs in under two minutes, and I felt like a fool for all the Saturdays I spent leaning on a post. Now I watch for the folks who look like they know the drill and follow them. Anyone else learn a spot like this from a worker instead of a sign?
