Downtown MARTA station platforms got new lighting last year and I barely recognize the place after dark

I used to feel sketched out waiting for the train after 9 PM at Five Points but now it's bright enough to read a book (someone was actually doing that) - is this just better fixtures or did they actually change the layout of the station too? Anyone else notice this shift?

Man I noticed that too at the North Ave station last week and thought my phone screen was on max brightness or something. The old lights made everyone look like they were in a horror movie waiting for the train. Better be glad they finally did something before someone tripped and fell on those dark platforms.

Wait, are you serious? They finally replaced those creepy old lights at North Ave? I was just down there two weeks ago and it was like walking into a cave at night. Those flickering yellow bulbs looked like something out of a haunted house, not a train station. Honestly I'm surprised nobody got hurt sooner, I nearly ate it on the stairs last month because I couldn't see where I was stepping. Those makeshift repairs they kept doing were a joke, just wrapping duct tape around loose wires. Good on them for actually fixing it before someone sued the city over a twisted ankle or worse.
