Chose a $140 stud welder over a $600 dent puller in 2003 and still have the receipt
The old guy who trained me at a place in Fresno told me to skip the fancy dent puller and just get a stud welder for pulling panels. I picked the welder. The first truck I used it on was a 1998 F-150 with a caved-in bed side, and it pulled cleaner than anything the puller ever did. Still use a stud welder today, though I've been thinking about picking up a glue puller for the hail work. Anyone here go glue over studs and stick with it?
Did you ever try the glue puller on anything besides hail? I watched a guy on YouTube use one for a crease and it popped right out, but he kept saying the surface has to be super clean or it won't hold. Been curious if it's worth it for everyday stuff or just hail.
