My cousin's first dent repair taught me about guiding hands
I was showing my cousin how to pull a dent from a door panel. He kept using too much force. I stopped him and explained the gentle touch needed. It reminded me of my grandpa's lessons. He always showed me slowly, never rushed. In our work, forcing things can make more damage. Teaching others builds better skills. That thought changed how I handle every job.

My grandpa used to say rushing just breaks more stuff.

Grandpas often share good advice, yet rushing isn't always bad. Like if a pipe bursts at home, you need to move quick to shut off the water before things get worse. Or in sports, a fast reaction can win the game. But for delicate jobs like painting a room, haste makes waste. So it's about knowing when speed helps and when it hurts. Context matters more than a one size fits all rule.

I always thought speed was the main goal until I read harperhernandez's take. Now I see my old boss rushing us just led to more callbacks and fixes. Your grandpa had it right for most everyday things.
