DAE blow $60 on a magnetic oil drain plug kit that did nothing for a sludge problem?
Bought one of those magnetic plug and pan magnet kits for my old 4.6 Ford after a friend swore it would pull the gunk out of the pan. Ran it for 5,000 miles and the magnet had a faint fuzz on it while the pan still had a half inch of sludge in it. Should have just dropped the pan and swapped a $12 gasket. What is the cheapest thing that actually knocked sludge loose for you?
