Serious question, chose the $60 aftermarket sensor over the $210 dealer one and now I'm eating a comeback
Last Tuesday a 2014 Civic came in with a P0134 and my gut said go with the cheap upstream O2 sensor to save the customer some cash. I put it in and cleared the code, truck ran clean on the test drive, sent it out at 4pm. Guy calls back Thursday, light's on again, same code, and now I'm doing the job twice and eating the labor. The dealer sensor is in there now and it's been fine for a week but I still feel dumb about it. Has anyone found a brand that doesn't pull this garbage on Hondas?

Did you also get burned by one of those Denso "OE quality" ones that lasted like three weeks? I did the SAME thing on an Accord last year, chased my tail for days before just eating it and putting the real Honda part in. Aftermarket O2 sensors on Hondas are just a gamble I'm done taking.
