That Wednesday last month where everything just worked for once
I had this one day last month where three tough jobs all went smooth. First up was a 2012 Ford Focus with a weird transmission shudder. Got the TCM relearn done in 20 minutes flat. Then a Chevy Silverado with a bad wheel bearing, popped out in under an hour. Finished with an oil pan gasket on a 3.6L that didn't fight me once. Usually I get one or two fights a day. But that Wednesday had me scared something bad was coming. Has anyone else had a day like that where you just knew the universe was gonna balance it out?

Wait until that bill comes due, man. I've seen too many perfect days get followed by a streak of absolute garbage work to buy into that. @susan_ward 's right about the calm before the storm thing, but I think you're looking at it backwards. That Wednesday was probably the storm, and the next three weeks of smooth sailing are what you gotta watch out for. I'm dead serious, I had a flawless alignment on a lifted truck last spring, then the next morning a customer brought in a 20 year old rust bucket with every bolt seized. Ngl, I'd rather have a couple small fights per day than one perfect day that sets off a chain reaction of nightmares.
