I watched a YouTube video from a guy who runs a comic shop in Ohio and he said the board goes behind the book, not in front, so now I'm confused about which one is right. In his demo he slid the book in with the back cover against the board, then folded the flap over the top, and he swore that keeps the spine from sliding around. Maybe it depends on the bag type though, because the newer resealable ones sit different than the old flap kind. I've been doing it his way for a year now and my annuals with the thick spines seem fine, no stress marks on the corners anyway.

Drove my Model 3 from Denver to Vail in January and did the same thing, charged to 100 the night before and then watched that regen bar sit there doing nothing for the first half hour. What worked better for me was charging to like 85, driving 20 minutes, then topping up at a supercharger in Idaho Springs while I grabbed coffee. Took maybe 12 extra minutes total and I got full regen the whole way up. Plus the battery warms up faster when it's not packed to the brim.
