Booked my first open transport haul from Baltimore to Austin and it actually showed up a day early
I shipped my son's old Camry from Baltimore to Austin so he could have a car at school, and I was bracing for the usual runaround since everyone told me to expect delays. The broker quoted $950 for open transport and said pickup would happen sometime in a 3 day window, so I cleared my whole Tuesday just to sit by the phone. The driver called Monday evening instead, showed up at 7am sharp, and walked the car with me before loading it. It rolled into Austin Thursday morning, one day ahead of the estimate, with maybe two bugs on the bumper. Is an early delivery just luck, or have other folks seen open transport get more reliable lately?
