My car sat at a terminal in Phoenix for 9 days waiting on one more vehicle, is that normal?
Shipped my Civic from Phoenix to Denver back in March and the quote said 3 to 5 days for pickup. The car actually got picked up on day 9 because the dispatcher was holding the truck until he filled one more spot. I called the broker 4 times and kept getting told it would be "any day now." Total door to door ended up being 13 days when I planned for a week. I get that filling a load saves everyone money but nobody told me this could happen. Is this just how it works with open carriers now, or did I pick a bad broker? Would love to hear if anyone got a straight answer on pickup windows up front.
