A quick tip from a stranger at the cafe on 5th Street

Oh wow, I always thought that was just a garden myth! I used to dump my grounds straight in the compost, figuring they were just nitrogen. But last summer my basil was getting eaten to bits, so I tried the coffee ground trick as a last resort. I made a little ring of them around the base of each plant. The bugs totally avoided those plants after that. It saved my herb garden.

Hit 500 appointments doing only blunt cuts and I'm not changing

Honestly, that's the dream right there. So many stylists get caught up in trends and forget some people just want their hair to look thick and healthy. That client driving from Springfield proves you're filling a real need. Maybe the quiet demand is for stylists who can actually do a perfect straight line. How do you keep the ends so clean on thicker hair?

Unpopular opinion: I tried getting my nephew into comics with a modern book, but it totally backfired.

Yeah, total waste of a variant cover. Kid just wanted a story, not a collectible.

Warning: The cafe scene in Ubud feels totally different now

Open-plan office" just means it's a popular spot now.

Three years ago in a Dayton attic, I found a dusty old splitter that taught me to always bring a toner...

Carry a cheap toner in your tool bag, the kind with a speaker that beeps. That attic taught me to tone out every single line before you cut, even if you're sure which one is live. Saved me last month tracing a line some guy buried under blown-in insulation.
