My GPS said 9 hours, the driver took 14, and I'm supposed to be happy?
I booked a door to door shipment for my Tacoma from Boise to Reno last week. Dispatch quoted 9 hours but the driver showed up 5 hours late because he took I-84 through Oregon to avoid some tolls, which makes zero sense since that adds miles. The car arrived fine, but I had a rental car booked for a job interview that I missed because of his routing choice. Has anyone else had a dispatcher straight up ignore the quoted drive time and then act like you're the unreasonable one for asking about it?

Dispatch quoted me 6 hours for a motorcycle once and the guy showed up in a Penske truck with the bike strapped to a pallet with bungee cords. That route took 11 hours because he stopped at every weigh station on the map like he was collecting them. The bike was fine but my whole weekend was shot because I sat around waiting for updates that never came. And when I called the office they just said "he's a professional, he knows what he's doing" which is code for we don't track our drivers. The toll thing is wild though, I've had drivers take scenic routes to avoid a 50 cent fee and act like they were saving the company money. Guess that's the price of cheap shipping, you get someone who thinks Oregon is on the way to Nevada.
