inI think the obsession with super long exposures on deep sky objects is overrated
Ugh, tell me about it. I once spent a whole night on the Andromeda galaxy, convinced more time meant more detail. The final image looked like I shot it through a bowl of soup. @the_felix is right, it's all about the conditions. My sweet spot is usually around 90 minutes now. After that, if the sky isn't rock solid, I'm just stacking blur. Feels like a waste of a good sleep schedule.

inUpdate: My impact socket split right down the middle on a stubborn axle nut yesterday.
Used to swear by cheaper sockets until one exploded on a ball joint. The flying metal chunk put a dent in my toolbox. Switched to Snap-on after that, they cost more but haven't had one fail yet.

inHad to pick between finishing a show or starting a new one, and I'm still thinking about it.
What's the point if everyone forgets it next week?

inVent: I used to think a 10 minute consultation was enough before a color service.
Tell that to my high school history teacher who gave hour long lectures. Ten minutes would have been a welcome change, but I doubt it would have covered the causes of the French Revolution. Some topics just need more time.

inTIL the new public library in Springfield has a tech help desk run by volunteers
Actually I see it as a net positive for the community. Most of the help is for basic stuff that people just need a hand with, not complex repairs. It fills a gap for folks who can't afford a pro.
