Appreciation post: I paid $20 extra to have my car hauled on the top deck and it actually worked
Shipped my Civic from Columbus to Austin last week and the broker asked if I wanted the bottom or top spot on the trailer. I said top for 20 bucks more because I was worried about drips from the cars above. Pickup was on a Tuesday and it landed in Austin on Friday with zero marks on the hood or roof. I walked around the car twice with the driver and could not find a single new swirl or stain. Turns out the top deck gets less oil drip and less road spray from the truck itself, which I had never thought about. Has anyone else paid up for the top slot, or did I just get lucky with a clean trailer?
