My wiring mix-up on the nav display taught me a good lesson

Had a whole system go dark because I crossed two cables. Now I always use my own color code tags to avoid that mess.

My labeling system is so bad I once used the same color tag for three different voltage lines. Spent an afternoon chasing ghosts in a control panel before I figured it out. Now my rule is if the pen is out, the label gets written on too, no shortcuts. What's your color code system like?

Your "if the pen is out" rule is overkill, labeling everything just slows down real work.

Nah, sometimes too many labels just add clutter and create their own problems. @valm45 chasing ghosts once doesn't mean the rest of us need to slow down our whole process for every single wire.
