Just realized the feed store on Route 9 sells cracked corn by the pound
Stopped by Miller's Feed on Route 9 last Saturday to grab a bag of layer pellets and noticed they now sell cracked corn from a bin up front. The owner told me it's $0.42 a pound if you bring your own bucket, which beats the $18 I was paying for a 50 lb bag at the big box store. Picked up 20 pounds for scratch treats and the girls went nuts for it. Has anyone else bought bulk corn this way, and do you worry about it throwing off their protein intake?
