Why does nobody talk about using vinyl scraps in chicken nests?
I saw a person at the hardware store pick up some vinyl flooring leftovers. They said they cut them to fit inside their chicken nest boxes. I gave it a try, and now cleaning is a breeze. All the mess wipes right off with a damp cloth. Do you think this could work for other parts of the coop too?

Noticed this happens a lot with handy people. They find a cheap leftover thing and just... make it work for something totally different. Like my neighbor uses old straw bales for a garden border, stuff like that. The vinyl scraps are just another version of that. Makes me wonder how many good fixes we're sitting on, just using stuff wrong on purpose.

Your neighbor's "wrong" use of straw bales is basically the official right way to do anything DIY.
