Finally hit 100 clear nights logged in my backyard stargazing notebook

Ngl, I didn't think I'd actually reach triple digits stargazing from my own lawn, but last night's Jupiter view through my cheap 6-inch dob made every bug bite worth it - how many nights have you guys logged this year?

Those 100 nights are all logged from your actual backyard in a single year? That is dedication with a cheap dob bumping into branches every time you reposition. What made you stick with the lawn instead of finding a darker spot even just a mile down the road?

Nah, that's exactly the point though. Driving a mile down the road won't make enough difference to justify packing everything up and leaving your coffee behind, plus your cheap dob still shows you plenty from the lawn - it's about consistency, not perfection.
