Found out the space station is brighter than 99% of the stars I look at
I was messing around on NASA's Spot The Station site last Tuesday and read that the ISS shines at about magnitude -4, which is way brighter than almost anything else up there. So I started logging passes with just my eyes and a cheap pair of 10x50 binocs from a garage sale, and sure enough it blows past like a slow airplane. Blew my mind that my naked eye can spot something 250 miles up with zero gear. Anyone here actually catch detail on it through a scope, or is it just a bright blob for you too?
