My cousin walked out of The Room in 20 minutes and now I can't stop thinking about it
Honestly this happened last month at my place in Fresno when I tried to show my cousin The Room for bad movie night. He got up around the 20 minute mark during the football scene, grabbed his keys, and just said "I can't do this, it's too weird and not in a fun way." I sat there kind of stunned because for me that movie is pure gold with friends, the spoons, the terrible dialogue, all of it. Tbh it made me realize bad movie night is way more about the group than the movie itself. Same film can be a blast with one crowd and total torture with another person. Ngl I've been second guessing my whole watch list since then, like is Troll 2 actually safe to show him? Has anyone else had a friend just flat out reject one of your go-to bad movies, and what did you swap it for?
