Rewatched The Room with subtitles on versus off and there's no contest
The subtitles catch every weird mumble so the dialogue lands way harder, especially during the flower shop scene, and now I can't go back to watching it without them, has anyone else tried it both ways?
The flower shop scene is a good call, but what gets me is the rooftop scene with Johnny and Mark. When you have subs on, you catch Johnny saying "I did not hit her, I did not" right before the "oh hi Mark" part, and the timing of it reads totally different than when you just hear the mumble. Did you notice the same thing, or was the flower shop the one that jumped out most for you? Also wondering if you watched with the subs that include sound effects like [door closes] or just the plain dialogue ones.
