Took me 2 years to finally enjoy Birdemic, wish I had started sooner

I kept hearing about Birdemic but kept putting it off because the bird effects looked too dumb even for me. Finally watched it last Friday with some friends and we couldn't stop laughing at the hang glider scene, honestly the worst green screen I've ever seen. Anyone else have a bad movie they avoided for way too long before it became a favorite?

Birdemic is only funny for like the first 20 minutes. After that the joke wears off and you're just watching a bad movie with bad sound and bad acting for 90 minutes. The hang glider scene is a good laugh but that alone doesn't make it worth sitting through the whole thing.
