A guy at a print shop in Austin showed me his old drafting table setup

He was pulling prints for me about six months ago and saw my CAD notes. He said, 'You kids and your perfect lines, you ever draw by hand?' He walked me to the back where he had this old wooden drafting table with a worn-down lead holder. He showed me how he still uses it for quick sketches because it 'feels real.' Has anyone else kept up with hand drafting after moving to digital?

Found a box of my old VHS tapes in the garage last weekend

I used to record every episode of 'Hey Arnold!' and 'Rugrats' off Nickelodeon, pausing during commercials. It took forever and the quality was fuzzy. Now I just pull up a streaming service and watch them in HD in seconds. The shows are the same, but I kind of miss the ritual of it. Anyone else still have a pile of those old tapes somewhere?

My grandma saw my fridge and just shook her head

She was over last month and opened it, saw my leftover takeout boxes and half a jar of salsa. She said, 'Cole, this isn't a pantry, you need some real food in here.' I mean, she's right, I mostly just heat stuff up now. Anyone else's fridge get judged by family?

My grandma's cornbread recipe has been passed down for 4 generations now, and I just realized I'm the only one who still makes it.

It hit me when I was teaching my niece last week, and I'm worried this simple, perfect recipe might actually stop with me, so has anyone else had to figure out how to get the younger family members interested in the old dishes?

PSA: I used to think a certain brand of governor rope was overpriced junk.

My old foreman in Chicago always swore by the 'Sure-Grip' brand for 3/8 inch ropes, but I thought he was just stuck in his ways. I bought a cheaper generic for a job last fall, and it started fraying after about six months. Had to go back and replace it, which cost me more in the end. Anyone else have a brand they trust that actually lasts?

My aunt in Phoenix said her secret ingredient for chili is a square of dark chocolate
