Laughed at the cowboy hat guy yelling about your sign falling, that is some real county fair energy right there. I learned mine with a piece of 16 gauge that grabbed the nozzle and turned into a metal taco, so now the first thing I clamp is the sheet itself with two welder's magnets plus a stop block on the lead-in side. Anything loose within a foot of the gantry gets zip tied or pulled, no exceptions. Takes me an extra 30 seconds and saves me from looking like a guy who cannot hold his own work down.

Did the same thing about three years back and I have zero regrets. My old foam pad was bulletproof but it was basically a thin slab of concrete after a few miles, and I was waking up stiff every single morning. Grabbed a decent inflatable on sale and the difference in sleep was night and day. The one thing nobody told me is that you gotta treat it like it's made of glass, so I always clear my spot of sticks and rocks before I lay it down and I carry a patch kit just in case. Haven't had a leak yet and I've put probably 40 nights on it. The weight and pack size alone made it worth it for solo trips.
