I finally got my sourdough starter to work after three months of flat loaves
Last week, I realized my kitchen in Austin was way too cold for it to rise right. I moved the jar next to the oven when I preheated it, and the next morning it was bubbly and doubled. I baked a loaf that afternoon and it had a real ear and open crumb for the first time. Has anyone else had to change where they keep their starter to make it happy?

Took you three months to figure out your starter was cold? Mine just sulks in the corner.

Three months is a crazy long time.
