Update: I was greasing my loaf pans for 6 years before I figured out why the bottoms kept sticking
Turned out a cheap silicone brush was leaving balding spots on the pan and I never saw them under the flour dust. Switched to a strip of parchment cut to fit and my banana bread slid out clean on the first try at my sister's place in Boise. Does anyone else cream their pan with butter and flour or am I late to this?
Switched to a butter wrapper rubbed on the pan, then a quick dust of flour, and that finally stopped the sticking for me. Never thought to check for bare spots from the brush though, that is sneaky. Parchment sounds way less messy.
