Vent: my 3 year old tomato cages finally gave out and dumped my whole crop on the balcony floor
Last Tuesday I walked out to water and found the middle cage bent flat, with my one decent tomato plant lying across the tile. The cheap wire had rusted through at the bottom rung. I zip tied the whole mess to the railing for now, but it looks rough. Back when I started this balcony thing I used bamboo stakes and twine, and honestly those held up fine. Has anyone found a stake setup that survives a windy third floor?
