Warning: my balcony lettuce nearly died from tiny white bugs until I tried a garlic spray I mixed myself
A buddy at the community plot in Austin swore by 2 crushed garlic cloves in a spray bottle of water, and after 5 days the aphids on my butterhead were gone and the leaves came back green, has anyone else had luck with kitchen sprays or did I just get lucky with the timing?
So was it just plain water with the garlic or did you add a drop of soap too? I keep reading that garlic alone won't stick to the leaves and just rolls off, so the soap is what actually makes it work. Also curious if you sprayed the soil or just the tops of the leaves, since those little white bugs like to hide under there. And did the smell stick around after, because my kitchen already smells like garlic bread half the time.
