Buzzed a kid's neck down to the skin 2 mins before his mom walked in

Mid cut on a 9 year old at my chair on Saturday, my clipper guard popped off and I dug straight into his nape before I caught it. I stopped, told the mom flat out what happened, and squared the whole hairline up blend and all so it looked like I meant it. Any of you keep a spare guard taped to the station for stuff like this?
