Worst week I've had in 10 years of cutting hair
Last Tuesday I had three straight clients walk out unhappy because my fade lines were off by a mile. I don't know if it was the new clipper oil I bought or just being tired from a double shift at the hospital, but I messed up every single head. The third guy, a regular named Mike from down the street, actually said 'I'll go to Supercuts next time.' That stung bad. Then on Thursday my trimmers died mid-bulk on a teenage kid's design. I had to finish with my backup Wahl which runs hot as hell. By Friday I had rescheduled six people just to catch up and redo the bad cuts. It was a total disaster and I almost threw my tools in the trash. Has anyone else had a week where nothing went right and you questioned your whole career?

Bet that hospital double shift killed your muscle memory, the fine motor stuff goes first when you're running on fumes. Gotta be honest though, sometimes a bad week is just your body telling you to take a real day off before you burn out completely.

Used to think pushing through the exhaustion was just part of the gig, like you're supposed to ignore your body until it forces you to stop. Dropped a glass of water three times in one morning after a 60-hour week and still tried to convince myself I was fine. Seeing it framed as muscle memory breakdown finally clicked for me, your hands know before your brain admits it. Might actually take tomorrow off and see if I can hold a spoon steady.
