Wrote off clipper over comb as lazy until a guy at the shop in Tacoma showed me his fade
I used to think clipper over comb was just a shortcut for guys who never learned to scissor cut right. Then a barber named Marcus at a shop on 6th Ave walked me through how he sets his guard and uses the comb to pick up length, and the fade he did had zero lines in it. I tried it on two walk-ins last week and both cuts came out cleaner than my usual scissor work, which stung a little to admit. Anyone got a comb size they swear by for tighter blends, or is it all just feel at that point?
