Took 3 evenings to fix a GameCube disc read error, turned out to be a loose screw
Picked up a $12 GameCube at a yard sale, it would only boot sometimes. Replaced the laser, cleaned the lens, adjusted the potentiometer twice. Nothing. On the third night I noticed the drive assembly bracket had a stripped screw on the mount. One penny washer later, runs perfect. Anyone else ever fix a console with something from a junk drawer?
