A guy at Micro Center in Dallas made me redo my entire desk cable run
So I was at Micro Center in Dallas picking up a DisplayPort cable last Saturday, and this older guy next to me in line looks at my cart and goes, 'that's gonna sag in a week, trust me.' I laughed it off, but he pulled out his phone and showed me pics of his desk with these little adhesive cable clips screwed into the underside of his desk, every cord running in a straight line. Came home, looked at my own desk, and it was a mess: 6 cables crossing each other, one dangling and hitting my knee, a power strip just sitting on the floor. I grabbed a $7 pack of clips and some velcro ties and redid the whole thing in about 40 minutes. The part that got me was the slack loop trick he told me about, leave a small loop near each device so you can move stuff without yanking everything. Now my desk looks clean and I stopped kicking my ethernet cable loose during ranked matches. Anyone else get schooled by a random stranger in a store line over something this small?
