A network engineer at a conference told me my desk cable management was giving him anxiety

He pointed out my monitor cable looped around my chair leg and said 'that's a trip hazard that'll cost you more in doctor bills than a pack of velcro straps', has anyone else had a stranger call out their setup in public?

Are you really too lazy to spend 5 bucks on some cable ties?

Take that idea even further and think about what happens when those cheap cable ties break after a month. You end up spending more time and frustration fixing a mess that five bucks worth of quality ties could have prevented. So really, it's not about being lazy, it's about doing it right the first time.
