My electrician buddy saw my power strip daisy chain and I heard him say 'you're gonna burn your place down'
I had three strips plugged into each other under my desk for two years and honestly never gave it a second look. He was over helping me hang a shelf in my garage last Saturday and spotted it through the door, said "dude, that's like 20 outlets on one wall plug." I always assumed as long as nothing tripped the breaker I was fine, but he walked me through how the strips themselves have limits way below what the breaker allows. Ripped it all out Sunday, grabbed two 12 outlet rack strips, and now everything has its own spot. Anyone else guilty of this or am I the only one who got lucky for way too long?
