PSA: I hit 14 zip ties on one desk leg and that's when I knew my cable management was broken
Last weekend I finally decided to clean up the back of my desk after putting it off since I moved into this apartment in March. I grabbed a bag of 100 zip ties and just started locking everything down, monitor cables, USB stuff, the power brick, all of it. When I looked up I had used 14 zip ties on one single leg of the desk and the whole thing was still a rat's nest. That's when it hit me that I wasn't managing cables, I was just burying them alive. If you ever need to swap one USB cable you have to cut the whole cluster apart and start over. Now I'm looking at velcro straps and a tray that mounts under the desktop instead. Anyone got a cheap under desk tray that actually holds a power strip without sagging?
