The library study room with a mini fridge and no outlet

I went to the downtown branch in Salem last Tuesday to finish a project, and they have these single person study rooms that look perfect. But the one I got had a mini fridge taking up the whole desk corner, and zero outlets near the chair. I had to run an extension cord from the hallway, which meant the door couldnt close all the way, so every footstep echoed in there. The fridge itself hummed like a small lawnmower every 10 minutes, and it had a sticker saying it was for staff use only. I sat there for 2 hours wondering who thought that setup made sense. Has anyone else found a battlestation with a useless appliance squatting in the prime real estate?

Wait, the fridge was for staff only but they still put it in a public study room? That’s wild. Who even thought that was a good use of space? A mini fridge that hums like that and takes up the whole desk is basically a prank. And no outlet near the chair, that’s the real kicker. You basically had to choose between a closed door or a working laptop. I’m honestly mad on your behalf, that setup is so broken it’s almost funny.
