My dad said skip the tongs and grab a 5 gallon bucket, he was dead right
My dad grew up near Rockaway Beach and I figured he was just being cheap when he said leave the grabber at home for our Saturday cleanup. I ignored him for two trips and kept bending over for every straw and wrapper until my back was done. Then I tried his way with a plain 5 gallon bucket and work gloves and I filled it in 40 minutes, way faster than the grabber crowd around me. The trick is you just scoop the sand and shake it out, the trash stays and the sand falls through. Has anyone else ditched the fancy tools for a bucket, or am I just late to this?
