Why do people keep bagging wet seaweed with the trash?
At the Harbor Point cleanup last Saturday I watched three groups toss soggy kelp into the regular bags, but that stuff should stay on the beach to feed the dunes, so has anyone else had luck getting folks to sort it out on the spot?

That line about feeding the dunes is the real issue people miss, because kelp in a landfill just rots into methane with zero upside. Maybe put up a sign showing the dune food chain so folks get why the wet stuff stays put.
