My first gel manicure attempt flooded the cuticles on all 10 nails, then a fix at Sally's saved it
I tried doing gel nails at home for the first time last Saturday and flooded the cuticles on every single finger, plus the polish kept shrinking back from the tips. I almost threw the whole kit in the trash, but the girl working at the Sally's on Hemphill Rd showed me how to do a dry brush wipe and thin coats instead of the thick globs I was using. Second round came out clean, no flooding at all, and I only wasted about 3 gel polishes getting there. Does anyone else find that thin layers work way better than trying to build up color in one pass?
