PSA: hard water buildup on my shower head cost me 5 months of good hair days
I figured my hair was just getting worse for no reason, so I bought 3 different clarifying shampoos over about 5 months. Turned out the real culprit was the shower head in my Chicago apartment, which was caked with mineral crust and spraying water like a broken spigot. I soaked the thing in white vinegar for an hour, scrubbed the holes with an old toothbrush, and my hair felt different within two washes. Check your shower head before you spend another dollar on shampoo, has anyone else had this sneak up on them?
