PSA: rinsing with cold water after conditioner fixed my frizz, and I fought the idea for months
I always rinse my hair with hot water because it feels better, and I figured cold rinses were just a myth people repeat online. My hair is thick and wavy, and every July in Phoenix it turns into a fuzzy halo by noon. Last month my stylist asked what temp I rinse at, and when I said hot she told me to try 30 seconds of cool water at the end, just on the ends. I did it for 2 weeks and the frizz was cut in half, no new products added. The cool water feels awful in winter, but the smoothness lasts all day. Has anyone tried this with a bowl of cold water instead of the shower handle, and does it work the same?
