Can we talk about the bike kitchen on 7th and how they true wheels with a fork?
I was at a co-op in Portland last Saturday and watched a volunteer true a wheel using an old fork clamped in a vise with zip ties as a gauge. It actually worked fine, but it made me wonder how many shops are skipping real truing stands to save space. I have a Park stand at home and still reach for the fork trick on quick fixes. Anyone else got a homemade gauge or jig they trust more than the store bought stuff?

Zip ties as a gauge is genius, way cheaper than the real deal.
