Spent $60 on a bike stand clamp pad set that marred my own paint

The soft rubber pads on my Park clamp left two grey scuffs on a customer's matte frame after I torqued it to spec, so I ate the respray at $60. Anyone got a clamp pad that actually grips without leaving marks on matte finishes?
