Took a chance on the Jagwire vs Shimano shift cable kit for my touring build

I was stuck between a $15 Jagwire kit and the OEM Shimano one for my Surly rebuild last weekend. Went with the Jagwire because the liner felt smoother and honestly it was a pain to route through the frame. Anyone else notice a difference in cable feel after swapping brands?

Funny how that works with cables - the cheaper option often has one small detail that feels better and sells you on the whole thing. Same thing happens with anything from tools to coffee makers, one little improvement makes you forget about the price difference entirely. Just hope it holds up after a few thousand miles on the road.
