That $35 waterproof pannier cover ripped on my third ride through a Boston downpour
It was basically a thin shower cap with buckles and now I'm back to using a dry bag inside my regular pannier, anyone else find a cover that actually holds up more than a month?

Did you really think a $35 rain cover was going to last through a Boston winter? That's like buying the cheapest umbrella on the street and being shocked it flips inside out. The whole point of a pannier cover is to be a lightweight emergency layer, not some armored shell. I've had the same $12 Planet Bike cover for two seasons now, no rips, no issues. You probably just yanked it on too tight or let it flap in the wind. Put a trash bag inside your bag as backup instead of blaming the cover.

I mean, isn't the bigger question why we're not just using dry bags instead?
